Our Bodies
Our bodies are a vessel in which our lives reflect. In this lifetime we are only given one body, we must do our best to take care of it. Our bodies are a gift for us to live out our lives. Living a pure life can be difficult but it’s a choice we make every day. Our bodies are made up of roughly 60% of water, which means it is extremely important to drink a good amount of pure water every day. Most city water is very much polluted, one really should have a good filtering system. Also, if you are on well water, it is important to have the water tested annually. There are many natural elements found in water that are not good for the body, for example radon, arsenic, lead and uranium etc.
Our bodies are bombarded with so many toxins on a daily basis, whether it be from air, water or the food we eat. We should all periodically detox. I personally take a liver detox supplement every day and do a metal detox every few months. It is also very beneficial to periodically fast, there are more and more studies coming out every day about the benefits of fasting. It is always a must to check in with your health provider to make sure this is something that is safe for you, though. There are many different types of fasting, as with anything, it is important to research to find what works best for you.
Because there are so many toxins we are exposed to in which we can’t prevent, we should always think about what can be prevent. Eating an organic non processed diet is a must in today’s world. I know eating all organic can be very expensive. If you are not able to buy all organic, try to buy organic fruits/vegetables that conventionally have the highest amount of pesticides. If you can only switch one thing to organic I would say, start with dairy. Also, I personally stay clear of all GMOs.
In my opinion, two of the most important vitamins people need are Magnesium and Zinc. I take a very good Magnesium and Zinc supplement. I also, take an organic whole food vitamin supplement, DHA, D-K and probiotic daily.
Move your body, without movement our bodies are stagnant. What happens to stagnant water? If you were to drink it, in most cases it would make you ill. If our bodies are made up of 60% of water, it makes sense, it is of the utmost importance to move it. Most everyone probably knows exercise is important. If exercise is new to you, take baby steps. When exercise is part of your routine, exercise in your life becomes easier. It is amazing how your body will thank you once exercise is incorporated into your life.
Again research, research, research. I am only telling you what I find to be best, it is always best to do your own thorough research before committing to anything.
