Our Bodies

Our Bodies

If we do not take care of ourselves, It is difficult to take care of others.

Our bodies are a vessel in which our lives reflect.   In this lifetime we are only given one body, we must do our best to take care of it.  Living a pure life can be difficult but it is a choice we make every moment of every day.  If we do not take care of ourselves, it is difficult to take care of others.  If we want to live a full life, we must do the best we can to insure we have that chance.  If we knowingly and consistently pollute our bodies, we are inherently telling ourselves we are not worth living fully.

Our bodies are made up of roughly 60% of water, which means it is extremely important to drink a good amount of pure water every day.  Most city water is very much polluted, one really should have a good filtering system.  Also, if you are on well water, it is important to have the water tested annually. There are many natural elements found in water that are not good for the body, for example radon, arsenic, lead and uranium etc.

Our bodies are bombarded with so many toxins on a daily basis, whether it be from air, water or the food we eat. We should all periodically detox.  I personally take a liver detox supplement every day and do a metal detox every few months.  It can also be very beneficial to fast periodically. There are more and more studies coming out every day about the benefits of fasting.  If you are considering a fast it is imperative you check in with your health provider to make sure this is something that is safe for you. There are many different types of fasting, as with anything, it is important to research to find what works best for you.

Because there are so many toxins we are exposed to in which we can’t prevent, we should always think about what can be prevent.  Eating an organic non processed diet is a must in today’s world.  I know eating all organic can be very expensive.  If you are not able to buy all organic, try to buy organic fruits/vegetables that conventionally have the highest amount of pesticides.  If you can only switch one thing to organic I would say, start with dairy and then meat (If you consume these products). Also, I personally stay clear of all GMOs.

Beauty and personal care products can have a significant amount of toxins in them as well, be sure to educate yourself on the products you are using.

Two of the most important vitamins people lack are Magnesium and Zinc.  I take a very good Magnesium and Zinc supplement.  I also, take an organic whole food vitamin supplement, DHA, D-K2 and a probiotic daily.

Again research, research, research.  I am only telling you what I find to be best, it is always best to do your own thorough research and speak to your Doctor before committing to anything.
