Finding Joy in the Success of Others · We Are One

Finding Joy in the Success of Others

Finding Joy in others happiness and success is one of the greatness gifts we can give ourselves. Our joy is multiplied in greatness when we celebrate not just our own accomplishments but all those we chose to surround ourselves with. So often individuals become defensive or immediately personalize accomplishments or happiness of a fellow human being. In this situation, one loses the chance to share and create happiness within one’s own life. Instead, another’s happiness is turned into a negative emotion because one personalizes it and in return this often can contrive one to feel less as a person. In this case, instead of acknowledging, sharing and multiplying the joy, one in actuality diminishes joy.

We all live individual lives on this planet. It is valuable to be able to relate to situations, it helps us feel for each other. However, it is of no value if we compare, relating and comparing are very different. Comparing often creates a negative energy, it doesn’t offer anything positive. When one compares, one is immediately thinking of themselves and not experiencing the truth and joy of the moment.

Let your defenses down, life is not a contest. In truth, the only competition we have is with our own ego. Our ego limits our growth and joy- we need to let it go. Celebrate the joy of others. It’s a magical feeling to have true excitement in the joy and success of another human being.

Acceptance of Oneself · We Are One

Acceptance of Oneself

We all have room for growth within ourselves. It is vital we accept who we are. We are here to learn, continuously progress and evolve. If we want to thrive, we can’t work with a false vision we have of ourselves or a vision of what we want to be. We need to separate ourselves from what we think we are and live within who we really are in the present and unvarnished truth.

Accepting oneself is the first step in growth. We all make mistakes and if we take ownership of those mistakes, its ok, we grow. If we are currently not in the place we ultimately want to be, we can use this awareness as a tool to help project us forward. If we don’t accept ourselves with all of our imperfections and take responsibility for all of our actions, we will be wedged between two worlds, unable to move forward. We can’t grow if our foundation is based on fantasy. It shows great strength when someone avows to their place in life with all imperfections included. It’s ok to feel as though you don’t have everything figured out because that is not plausible. As our life moves along there are always things we can work on. Even the holiest and most spiritual teachers were continuously learning and growing and that is what made them so successful in their evolution.

When we are not open to truth, it has an impact on all the relationships in our lives. When we function in a space of who we think we are or who we want to be, we perpetually manipulate everyone around us, sometimes unknowingly. In that place of distortion, we try to make them believe us even at the detriment of the relationship. When we are not living in truth, we might project our insecurities on others and may be defensive when anyone challenges our identity. In conflicts when there is the need to look within, we often don’t listen, we try to change minds, deflect or shut down; people tend to back away and distance themselves from that behavior.  When we are sure of ourselves and live within truth, there is no desire or need for defensiveness.

If we cannot be honest and accept ourselves, how can others accept us. We can’t expect others to follow us in our false realities. Others are more apt to accept and respect us if we are honest, open and embrace ourselves, knowing there is always the ability to grow. As we start to be honest it will allow others to be more open to us, it will allow others in. When we open ourselves up to our truth, it will attract more healthy relationships in our life. In current relationships, it is important to address and come to terms with all wrong-doings, it is only then, the relationships can move forward. It is difficult to trust someone who is not able to trust themselves in who they are.

Be You, Accept, Grow and Live in Truth

We Are One

Believe

Find yourself, be alone in your presence, embrace your true essence and your true beauty, no one else is needed to confirm this.  When we depend upon others as our primary source to fill a void within ourselves we ultimately give away our power and our life force, we lose a part of ourselves. If we consistently look to others for our goodness, we become more and more diminished and open ourselves up to becoming depleted.  When we are depleted, we become fragile and sometimes lost and desperate without even realizing it.  When we are in this fragile state we become susceptible to loss of truth, allowing mind and/or body to be compromised.

If we are initially not taught to find the answers within ourselves, we may believe we are powerless within ourselves. We may find strength in falseness without even realizing it. Others can guide us or help put us in touch with ourselves but we should not allow others to dictate everything we believe; their truth is not your truth.

We were given this opportunity to be the best we can be as us.  We are fortunate.  Life is fortunate.  Our life is ours to do with it what we want.  It is up to us to find goodness in every situation.  We have a choice always to live in love or to choose otherwise, if we choose the latter, we are the least to benefit.  We are born of goodness, don’t let anyone take that away from you.  Find yourself within yourself, you are capable- believe.

You are me, we are not the same but I can feel as if we were.  When I see you as me I have deep affection for you and your struggles.  I want you to find peace.  Peace is truth.  Peace is always within reach, it is within you.

I am you.  I see you, I feel you, I love you, I hear you. You may have felt or feel alone but please know you are never alone.  You may not see me or feel my presence but I am always there.  We are all connected.  We are always there.

Appreciation

Appreciation

Appreciating life opens the door to a more meaningful existence. When we get so busy and forget to stop and recognize the many aspects of living, we suffer. When we stop and ponder and really observe, we realize each step in life is magnificent. Appreciation is easy, once we open ourselves up to the process of each moment here on Earth.

Everyday functions and mechanisms that our body depend on to survive may seem quite simple if we don’t think about it but if we really look at the entirety of what our bodies require, we will discover it is not simple at all. The complex symbiosis involved in the formation of the air we breathe and the way in which our body uses that air is amazing. Our intake of food and water and the fuel and energy it gives us to function, and the many body systems that make us work, is unbelievably stunning. Every little detail of our bodies processes and our abilities as humans in our daily life is an accomplishment. If we go further and look at everyone, everything, all the workings of life here on Earth, every detail of everyday life and how many conditions must come together to make it work, it is aww inducing.

When engaged in our everyday routines, we may become so used to the process, we don’t think about what we are doing; We often may not expend much of a deeper thought process on everyday task. If we do look more intently at our everyday actions, it can expand our appreciation for what may appear mundane. Let’s consider the act of typing on a computer, think about all the effort that went into that computer; How many people created that one item?  Consider all the people that came up with the design, all the people that created the many different materials, all the manufacturing, and delivery.  The creation of every item we use and everything we ingest takes a lot of effort, it is by no means simple.  Thousands of people worked hard to give us everything we have; What we have encompasses the efforts of so many, including ourselves.

Life- it’s what we make of it. When we can appreciate everyone despite our differences and everything even when we struggle to understand, we are then living and experiencing life in an authentic way.  Appreciation goes well beyond what we have and what we see.  Appreciation goes beyond just the positive.  With positive there is often negative as well, life as we know it cannot exist in the way it does without negative.  Sometimes the negative is difficult to understand and often it cannot be explained but there are ways in which we can appreciate it as part of our lives.  If we chose to appreciate the positive aspect instead of focusing on merely the negative, we can then appreciate it in that way.  Often, something can be so negative, it is hard to find a positive or maybe we don’t want to find a positive, but it is always present. It may take longer to access the positive, but yes, it is always there.  Although negative experience is part of life experience, it does not mean that we should make negative choices when we are aware of it.  Purposely creating negative is not a good choice.  When we act in negative ways, we are detached from truth and in that moment, we very much lack appreciation.

When the sun is shining, it gives us life.  When there are clouds and rain, it gives us life.  When we see buds or flowers bloom on a tree, we see life; Nature is life.  When we see each other, we see life.  All around us is life and intricacies existing in a continuum of every aspect of living; All around us is a universality of helping and hoping life continues, births and renews.  Everything and everyone has purpose and meaning.

I hear the birds singing, I see the wind blowing, the trees dancing and nature about. I breathe deeply. I truly appreciate the wonder of all the complexities.  The profound essence of life is amazing. Life is Beautiful.

Peace

We are possibly at a turning point. We must always try to make a conscious effort to stay positive.  There has been an increase in negativity swirling around within our world right now but try not to focus on that.  Some people may have anger, hopelessness, confusion, worry, hatred etc.  All of these add to a cloud of darkness that has been created over time.  It is important that just as in life, we remember periods of change, unknowingness and upheaval can often have a positive result if we use our energy wisely.  Every day offers experiential growth, it is up to us if we want that growth to be positive.  We can use this time to assess our beings, wake up, question everything and put our lives to use.

Sometimes it is difficult to not be caught up in drama and negativity.  It is of utmost significance we realize negativity only makes things more challenging.  Being negative, only adds to the problem or issue and it is a waste of precious energy.  Take each day one at a time and try to live in the moment as much as possible. We need to use our breath to be calm, peaceful and positive.  Connect with the planet and get in touch with your inner being.  Feel the pure Earth energy fill you up and clear all that does not contribute to lightness.

Create a vision of what you want for the future not just personally but universally and each day contribute to that vision in some way.  Add Love to the World whenever you have an opportunity.  When we are given an opportunity to give positive, it is a gift we must always take part in, even if we can only do little. Remember to take good care of yourself.  Who you are reflects on the Planet, the Universe and each other.

Within Oneself

Within Oneself

We live in a society where distraction always pulls at us.  Living has become one big constant distraction.  Distraction takes us away from real growth and experience.  Something always seems to be pulling at us.  It’s like stepping in gum every step we take, each step we need to pull the piece of gum from our foot and then again, it repeats itself.  We need to learn to put oil on our shoe and not allow the gum to take hold of us, it’s a sticky situation but there are ways to avoid it.

As humans, we need to learn, we don’t always have to be doing something.  We have our responsibilities in our daily lives, the things, we must do.  Whether it is one’s source of income, household responsibilities, family etc.  Yes, these things must get done.  Then there are the other things, our hobbies, television, computers, books, phones, technologies, and addictions, some of these things can be ok but not when every ounce of time is filled with them.  As a society, a lot of us have been programmed to believe our time needs to be filled.  When in reality, this is one of the major things that leads to unhappiness.

When is the last time you sat, and did absolutely nothing?  This means, no technologies whatsoever, no books, no music, nothing but your thoughts? I think most individuals may find it hard to even remember the last time they did this, the last time they sat with only their thoughts.  We need to learn how to connect to ourselves again.  It is amazing what one can find when one connects and listens.  It can be very therapeutic because really all the other stuff is not what we are here on Earth for.  If we never take a moment to listen, feel and just be, how can we grow?  All the material stuff in this world is so separate from what we truly are and what life really is supposed to be.  So many individuals base their life on the material items they may have.  If all that is taken away, what do we have?  If one is not happy with what one is left with after all the material items are gone, then life needs to be assessed.  A connection needs to be made to one’s inner, real self.

An addiction or routine is not easy to break, one needs to literally picture oneself pulling and tearing and finally cutting free the addiction or routine that pulls at them.  Take a break, maybe little steps at first, a couple of minutes at a time and add onto it as you can.  Live with yourself and feel your presence. Your potential to grow is limitless.  Within, you will find your real beauty and love for life.

Different Shapes · We Are One

Different Shapes

Each one of us is born into this world given an opportunity.  Many things shape our existence , our environment including our parents and family, any beliefs we are ultimately taught, our nutrition, our schooling, our friends and so on.  A multitude of distinct things contribute to the shape of our being.  If we look at it in those terms, often at the start of life we are existing on someone else’s terms.  This is for our safety, we can’t take care of ourselves and make life decisions as infants and children.  Unfortunately, there are times when the people making decisions for us are not qualified themselves.  Maybe they were not given the means to start off living a full life themselves and they were not able to move on from that.  This then can become a cycle if they never find the ability to break free.  Unfortunately, our world and humanity often tend to let these people down.  It doesn’t have to be that way if we realize we are one, while still respecting our differences.

When we grow up and separate, our surroundings continue to shape us but at this point we have more of a choice.  It is up to us to take responsibility for action and present life.  The past has shaped a lot of what we are but it doesn’t have to be what we are.  The past does not represent the present.   If we recognize that, we can take lessons and live our current life in a place of now and make decisions from our place of truth and growth. Everything we are looking for resides within each one of us. As we get older we can have difficulties when we depend on someone else to make life decisions for us or rescue us from ourselves when we are capable individually.  Every moment we are living we make a choice.  Growth cannot happen if we are not willing to take responsibility and live in truth and action.  Our reactions and outlook are our individual responsibility. We all make mistakes but ultimately if one learns from that mistake, takes responsibility and sends love to that place, there is positivity.  Just as someone else may hurt us, we have a choice to continue to live our lives in pain or to move on and use that experience to grow in a positive way.

Each one of us is spectacularly different, it is such an amazing process in how each of us gets to our current reality.  Because of our differences, it is important as adults, we do not place our beliefs on someone else.  When we do that, it can cause an abundance of judgement. Ultimately judgement causes turmoil for everyone and stops progress.  That is also why it is important to always be open and never assume or get transfixed on being right.  What is right for you in that moment, may not be right for someone else and that is ok.  We all have the right to live truth.  We should always question our motives in everything and always try to have kindness and love in our hearts when making decisions.  Our words and reactions are very significant and play a huge role in shaping our existence.

When we live in love and kindness with an open heart, open mind and truth, it becomes easier to see the truth and have compassion for all.  When we appreciate the fact, each one of us was born into this world each breathing in our initial first breath of air, existing in that moment, we all share this experience.   We are all one, all connected but we do not all have the same experiences, capacity or abilities in life.  In that truth, all of us have a responsibility to one another; while respecting each one of our differences based on where we have come from and where we are going.  It is up to all of us to recognize when our assistance is needed while also appreciating each of our journeys   We all have an ability to contribute in some way.   In this we find peace.

Stress

Stress

Living on Earth is a gift but it is not always easy.  Life can be stressful.  If we allow it, life can pass in a blink of an eye.  We humans especially in the more developed countries tend to busy our lives to the point where it is very difficult to live in the moment.  Having a myriad of Technological distractions available in our daily lives certainly doesn’t help.  When we have so much going on in our heads, stress accumulates and we hold on for our dear lives forgetting the gift we were given.  Many people go through their daily routines just trying to survive which prevents us from truly experiencing life.  When I feel my busyness taking hold, I immediately know I need to take a break and connect with nature, even if it is just for a couple of minutes. Go outside look up at the sky and really try to appreciate the fact you are on a beautiful planet called Earth.  Breathe in the air, the real energy of life and feel yourself connect to the Earth as well as the Universe we are all part of.  Meditation and Yoga also helps with life stressors, even if it is for just a few minutes.  Certainly, the longer you can do it the better but a few minutes really can make a difference.  The spirit really yearns for that connection.

We Are One

Every Breath

These last few weeks have clearly shown us how divided humans can be. Division is not a new thing but I think many people had hoped the division wasn’t as decisive as it has proved to be.  The cause of division is a lack of connection and truth.  In life, it is very important that we look at the whole picture of everything and not just the area that appeases our ego.  We should always search for truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be.  In truth, we find Unity.

It is vastly important to realize as humans, no one else is responsible for us and our place in life, unless of course you are a child.  We make decisions every moment that influence our lives as a whole.  We are born into this life each given a task to live it to its fullest, no matter what we start out with.  Some may seem to have an easier start in life and others may have a more difficult beginning.  It is up to us to use the experience bestowed on us in a positive way. Each step we take, each word we speak, we make a choice and in turn we decide our life on our own.  It is important that we learn from every breath we take.  We have each been given a truly magnificent gift.

We are not here on Earth to just observe and hope stuff falls into place.  We are here to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and take a leap into the infinite possibilities of growth.  We may get busy and lose touch with that but it is important to always bring ourselves back to that place.  Every moment we breathe we essentially affect the outcome of our lives and in turn affect others as well.  Each of us has endless potential but many lose touch with that.

So, if you really put some thought into that.  Wow, each moment can be exciting, it helps us live more in the reality of our being, in a place of love.  Whatever we spend our time doing or thinking shapes the life we live.  If we think unhappy and negative thoughts, then our life is negative and unhappy.  If we think positive thoughts and do positive things, then our lives can only be positive.  Imagine if we as humans could all live in that way, you see how it would affect all life.

Sometimes people can get caught up in negative patterns and it becomes almost an addiction for them and they live it for so long it’s all they know.  Changing that pattern can be quite scary and difficult.   When one is in a continuous negative place one is doing themselves a disservice, their spirit suffers tremendously. The first step is recognizing what has been taking place.  Recognition of this, is the hardest part.  One must confront themselves, accept themselves and move on to a better more harmonious place.  It can take extreme bravery and courage but in the end that person is the one who benefits the most and in turn adds truth to the World.

If we want to grow, we must always be open to change.  We must be open to changing our opinions and beliefs.  Truth is our life source; it is of utmost importance we follow truth throughout our lives. If we are not open to our minds being changed, we are not open to growth.  We are stagnant.  The world is ever changing and we must be able to change and evolve our thought structure to allow ourselves to grow in positive ways.

Each time we breathe, it has a ripple effect.  The more individuals that live from that place of truth the more benefit and then possibly live from that place of truth. We must be an example of goodness to live and spread goodness.  It is always our choice.

Our Bodies

Our Bodies

If we do not take care of ourselves, It is difficult to take care of others.

Our bodies are a vessel in which our lives reflect.   In this lifetime we are only given one body, we must do our best to take care of it.  Living a pure life can be difficult but it is a choice we make every moment of every day.  If we do not take care of ourselves, it is difficult to take care of others.  If we want to live a full life, we must do the best we can to insure we have that chance.  If we knowingly and consistently pollute our bodies, we are inherently telling ourselves we are not worth living fully.

Our bodies are made up of roughly 60% of water, which means it is extremely important to drink a good amount of pure water every day.  Most city water is very much polluted, one really should have a good filtering system.  Also, if you are on well water, it is important to have the water tested annually. There are many natural elements found in water that are not good for the body, for example radon, arsenic, lead and uranium etc.

Our bodies are bombarded with so many toxins on a daily basis, whether it be from air, water or the food we eat. We should all periodically detox.  I personally take a liver detox supplement every day and do a metal detox every few months.  It can also be very beneficial to fast periodically. There are more and more studies coming out every day about the benefits of fasting.  If you are considering a fast it is imperative you check in with your health provider to make sure this is something that is safe for you. There are many different types of fasting, as with anything, it is important to research to find what works best for you.

Because there are so many toxins we are exposed to in which we can’t prevent, we should always think about what can be prevent.  Eating an organic non processed diet is a must in today’s world.  I know eating all organic can be very expensive.  If you are not able to buy all organic, try to buy organic fruits/vegetables that conventionally have the highest amount of pesticides.  If you can only switch one thing to organic I would say, start with dairy and then meat (If you consume these products). Also, I personally stay clear of all GMOs.

Beauty and personal care products can have a significant amount of toxins in them as well, be sure to educate yourself on the products you are using.

Two of the most important vitamins people lack are Magnesium and Zinc.  I take a very good Magnesium and Zinc supplement.  I also, take an organic whole food vitamin supplement, DHA, D-K2 and a probiotic daily.

Again research, research, research.  I am only telling you what I find to be best, it is always best to do your own thorough research and speak to your Doctor before committing to anything.
